- Reservation details: restaurant, date, time, party size, seating preference

- Device identifiers and push notification tokens (for FCM notifications)
- App usage data: screens viewed, features used, time spent
- IP address and general location (city/state level, not GPS)
- Crash reports and performance data
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your Waitless account
- To process and confirm restaurant reservations on your behalf
- To send you push notifications about reservation status changes
- To calculate and display loyalty points
- To show you relevant restaurants and availability in your area
- To improve our Service through analytics and user feedback

3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your data only in these circumstances:
- With partner restaurants: When you make a reservation, your name, phone number, party size, and seating preference are shared with the restaurant to facilitate your booking.
- With service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform — see Section 4 for details.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
- Supabase — database and authentication. Data stored on servers in accordance with Supabase's privacy practices.
- Google Firebase (FCM) — push notifications. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In — optional OAuth login. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Razorpay — payment processing (Phase 3). Razorpay handles payment data directly; we do not store card details.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records required under the Income Tax Act or GST regulations).
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

The Waitless mobile app does not use cookies. Our website (wait-less.in) may use essential cookies required for site functionality. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
